Outdoor Lights: A guide to lighting tall narrow dense canopy trees

For taller trees with a narrow spreading dense canopy use a single 36° spot light placed back from the outside spread of the tree.  To light the tree from two sides use 2 x 36° fittings such as Titan 26w

All images shown only show the main beam angle which is 50% of the main light output, the field angle which is not illustrated is 10% of the main light output which falls outside of the main beam angle.  The field angle will in some cases be enough to softly light some of the unlit features of the tree such as the trunk, if the field angle light is not sufficient enough you can use a smaller less powerful filler light to give you the satisfactory light levels required.
