Creating a Warm Glow: Enhancing a Pod with Recessed Lighting
As a lighting professional Chris Nicholson knew what he wanted when he came to see us. We didn’t change anything other than suggest a couple of small, recessed lights to up-light the pod, creating a focal point. With careful positioning, it was possible to bounce the light off the ceiling to create a warm glow inside the pod.

Shedding Light on Transformation: The Vicarage Garden Project
Donna and Neil have completely remodeled this large vicarage garden. Although the garden retains a mature feel by keeping the best trees, everything else has been replaced, making it hard to believe that this transformation was only completed a few months before these photos were taken. The exact position of a tree uplighter is critical in achieving the desired effect. An Elipta Apollo 35 placed close to the trunk, highlights the texture of the bark, whereas positioning the light too far away results in a flat and uninteresting effect. It is only when darkness falls that the true impact of the lighting can be seen, and since every tree is different, some experimentation is necessary to find the perfect placement.
